Privacy Notice
Last Updated: May 21, 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how Kaji handles information in connection with the Kaji website and macOS application.
Our role in processing data
Kaji is designed as a local operations layer for terminal-native coding agents. Your repositories, code, terminal output, and agent history stay on systems you control unless you choose to send data to a third-party provider or integration.
When the website collects basic analytics or contact information, Kaji acts as a controller. When the app helps you operate local tools and agent CLIs, those tools and providers remain governed by their own terms.
Information we collect
We may collect contact details you choose to provide, website usage information, download and update metadata, support messages, and limited product diagnostics such as crash reports or feature usage signals.
Kaji does not need to upload your codebase or terminal history to provide its core local workspace features.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve Kaji
- Respond to support requests and product feedback
- Understand reliability, adoption, and feature usage
- Communicate product updates and security notices
- Comply with legal obligations and protect the product
AI providers and integrations
If you use Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Pi, or another integration through Kaji, the data you send to that provider is handled under your relationship with that provider. Kaji does not control how third-party model providers process data you send to them.
Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for information we process. We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here unless a longer period is required by law.
Contact
For privacy questions, contact the Kaji team through the project repository or the support channel listed on the website.
